Works well and is easy to use and find the wind.

So I guess maps are no longer a thing. All you get is a very zoomed out, still image map, with no useful details.

Wind forecasts are notoriously difficult, so I just check first thing in the am...Ive had pretty good luck w/Windfinder catching the best conditions in the Midwest US. Please add a push notification that users can select desired wind speed and time of day available! This is the only thing lacking as compared to other wind/wave forecast apps.

As the reviews below point out, this app is terrible for...hunting and...land-locked states like Tenessee. For people that can surf and read (which isnt a given) this app freaking rocks. It shocks me how a few illiterates can bring down the overall rating of such a useful and needed app.

...it doesnt seem to be accurate for current conditions. If it gave the current conditions in something approaching real time (by checking nearby weather station data) it would be an easy 5 stars. Very nice to have for forecasts, though. Most hang gliding sites are included.

I work on a yacht in the Virgin Islands and have been using windfinders website for years. Now I use this app instead. Yes, current conditions are a little iffy depending on the location (could just be caused by a bad location for the weather staton) but the forecasts are spot on.

Cant vouch for the rest of the world but this app is pretty decent at displaying wind for the Bay Area windsurfing/kitesurfing hot spots. There is no human forecast just a computer generated prediction probably based off NOAA. All gradients are adjustable i.g. celcius vs. farenheit. Not a bad start. Can only get better.

I fly r/c sailplanes and Ive tried several wind report apps, but this one really hit it out of the park! There are more sites in the app in my area than any other app and even any website Ive been to that doesnt require a paid subscription. I love how easy it is to find sites, and how you can see the current conditions for all your favorites at a glance on one screen, then when you go to one site it shows the hourly forecasts. Perfect implementation and just what I needed!

Im a fanatic sailor, and I almost use this app daily. It predicts the wind, even in Holland (Where I live). Reccommended for any sailor or kite surfer. Well done!

Would be great if it were accurate. Currently the wind is gusting to 32knts and windfinder shows16knts. Seems like a significant difference.

this is a great app. a lot better then ikitesurf and best of all its free. highly recommend.
